We ran them to ridiculous mileages and did very little to them. Definitely good cheap transportation.



Same here. All three of my kids got used Cav's for their first car. Reliable and easy to maintain.
 
Congratulations! I definitely wish you would've pulled the valve cover, especially if it went to a wrecking yard!!


I'm hoping to take my BMW 328ti to 300k before it gets turned into a racecar. Just turned 230k yesterday. Supposedly ~100k or so on the 2.8l m52 thats in it. We shall see if I can manage to keep a car that long. I'm 30 and have owned nearly 50 vehicles by now, but I'm starting to keep them. Scary thought!
