You have the same player that is sold at Walmart. If they sell it at Walmart, period, then you know it's junk.

Worked in a repair shop and would see stuff coming in that was just plain missing components on the PC boards from the factory.
Every Company is going to have a few bad pieces....
LG and Samsung has the biggest market share in the US (I think). Of course, you'll find more of them in repair shops.
