I am currently reading a Shakespeare book found at yard sale for under a buck while grandmas famous meatloaf is in the oven. The recipe is like 78 years old but it's to die for. You folks have a great meatloaf recipe or love it as much as I do?

Red91: sorry bout that. I'm making my big batch of chili Thursday night as Fridays Veterans Day as I'm a vet

To all the meatloaf connoisseurs here....

Have you tried the "Factory Meatloaf" at the Cheesecake Factory?

I love meatloaf and potatoes....
That stuff is the best I have ever tasted.

Maybe he meant the actual recipe is 78 years old?
But I agree the notecard can't be more than 15 yrs old.
And I'm surprised it is in such nice shape... All of my favorite recipes... The notecards are barely readable.

Hmmm, sounds very good. Found a recipe for it Here . Bob Evans has a very good meatloaf although haven't had it recently.

Talk about easy, found the Bob Evans meatloaf Slow Cooker recipe .

I've just started baking meatloaf this year. My recipe is very similar to the one the OP posted. I add some chili powered and BBQ sauce too. Dry yellow mustard, vinegar, brown sugar and tomato sauce for the topping.

I want to try that Bob Evans recipe. 1/2 ground beef, 1/2 sausage. Can't possibly go wrong with that!

I'm going to try this recipe tonight. Venison instead of beef though.

I use real lean round beef from local Polish butcher and ground turkey meat. I also use the egg substitute or applesauce

Made the Op's recipe tonight. Substituted venison for the beef. It turned out great. The topping was pretty sweet for my tastes, but that's easy enough to change. I'll be making this again.
