My personal stash limit is no more than 2x OCI per vehicle. So in the case of my Explorer, it’s 10 quarts maximum. Mustang, 20 quarts max, etc. I had to set a hard line there or I’d fill the entire garage.

I have around 30 quarts at the moment that I acquired during various sales, with 15 quarts being used in the next couple days.

So do you not suggest me using this oil in one of my commercial mowers? I'm about due for a change and it won't hurt to run the 10w30 for a winter. Probably better honestly. I saw the the video on here where it said the molecules of the oil change over time, but honestly I didn't watch the whole video and wasn't sure what the guy was getting at.

So, I don't understand the logic here for storing a bunch of motor oil. Is it like a classic car type thing where you don't want to drive it and put miles on it in hopes one day it will be worth a lot? I think we're still about 100 years away from Elon Musk getting his way and making everything electric. I don't ever see oil on sale and if it is it's only marked down a little, then it also happens to be sold out 99 percent of the time anyways.

They sure want a ton of money these days for oil. A regular quart of oil is like $6 now

Less than 5% of members here stash oil. It's a "boys club".

I have a substantial quantity of oil in my stash. Probably 70+ gallons of diesel and gasoline rated oil in quarts, 5-quart jugs, 2.5- and 5-gallon pails, syn, dino and blend. Bought it all really cheap thanks to BITOG.
