Here's the 2001 Camry. 2.2L 4cyl 4-speed auto. Bought new by my in-laws, bought from them by my wife, now it's my daily driver.



And here's the 2010 Odyssey LX. Bought April 8,2014 with 61,342 now sitting at 97,800 miles. I love this van. Best vehicle I've ever owned.

I paid $3800 for the truck. $500 to get it home. Probably have another $1000 in parts in it - lot of them was preventative maintenance. Just about finished with it, though. Runs SUPER smooth, drives PERFECT. I've already put 2k miles on it!

Got some Volvo wheels (5x108) for a good deal, and grabbed 30mm adapters to fit the wheels on 5x114.3 Scion bolt pattern. Picture sucks, but in real life the Scion looks like an SUV now, as many people who see it say. I dig it.

This is awesome. I've always liked these.

I've never seen one on the road here. I've seen a few for sale, but that's about it. Just how hard is it to find parts for? I've always been curious.

Thanks. Most parts are easy to find and much of the electrical, fuel and emissions systems share parts with the rest of the contemporary British Leyland line. There are two large suppliers, Rovers North & Atlantic British, and many other smaller ones here and abroad, e.g. Rovahfarm, SHP, who can get you pretty much anything you need in a few days, and parts prices are not that bad for a niche vehicle. They are also very easy to work on, lots of room, service points very accessible, etc. The vintage LR owners and small vendors are a great community.

The Camry has been sitting for going on 6 months now. Got it a little spoiler for about $0.50 on eBay to class it up. You can also see that lovely paint job and the missing corner from the car accident

Mine too- I've owned it since new. A high strung NA four cylinder mated to a close ratio 5 speed(5th gear is 1:1)- we won't see anything similar again.

My other Rover at a recent Rover gathering, doing what these trucks are best at. She is a recent import, French spec diesel. I saw her and thought she'd be a great candidate to refurbish cosmetically (running gear and all else was fine-low mileage and new engine), but decided to leave her mostly as is and just reupholstered the seats, added rear seats and belts and cleaned up the interior.

Put shoes and brakes on it. Auto-x'd it. It's now in the garage getting springs, shocks, and sway bars. The steering rack (leaking) and pump (overheating) are both at Turn One getting performance rebuilds.

While I have it down, it's getting a bunch of smaller corrections... like a functioning audio system and installation of the proper transmission boots. I'm also trying to work out a fix for the loose tilt housing. I've had it apart once for a look-see, ordered a supposedly "good" used replacement column (it wasn't), and am now working with a place in Utah for a correction.

I did pick up an LS6 intake manifold for a coworker (today's project) and maybe I'll do headers before the steering comes back.


Fixed the steering, got the springs, shocks, and sway bars wrapped up, and installed LS6 intake, headers, and exhaust. Also picked up HP Tuners and installed a wideband O2 sensor. All the speakers work now too!

No more 4x4 wheel gap.
