Currently I have Ferodo FDB4307 pads on my car. These were installed in the factory.

I like them, except they dust like crazy. Good thing is the dust can be wiped off easily.

Seems like I have to go from a semi-metallic to a ceramic compound to get significantly less brake dust? I've found some, but they're 3 times as costly as the Ferodo, so I figured I'd check with you lot before ordering.

The factory pads on my malibu are good but have 2 much brake dust. Next set of pads which i never have a problem with are thermoquiets. U can usually find them at a decent price on rockauto.com

I have had much less dust with ceramics. Also Organics. Semi metallics seem to produce the most dust by far. Also in my experience Ceramics last substantially longer. maybe not 3 times as long, but compared to the semimetallics I had before they have lasted nearly twice as long thus far and still don't need replacement.

Look for ate products on webdealauto website, I think they can deliver to your country.
I had Ferrodo too, and agree they produce much dust. I think I had Valeo previously, and they made less dust.

Currently I have ATE ceramic, but it's only been 3 weeks so I can't really compare. I have the slight feelings the brakes are a bit less efficient, but that may just be me.

They dust more because they have more friction and better stopping power. It's your car, but personally I don't compromise stopping power because of brake dust.

X2 Paint the wheels matte black to hide the dust. They cost less and if changed in a timely fashion, the rotors can be re-used without trouble.

I have the upraded 13" rotors up front with 4 pot Brembo calipers (from 12" and single pot sliding calipers), and uprated 11" rotors at the back (from 10.5").

Stopping power right now is only dictated by tyre traction.

But that being said, the ceramics I've found are Brembo high performance HP2000 pads. They work well from cold (important to me) and are pretty much dust free. And they have the coreect connections for the pad wear warning.

I'll try looking for Akebono, but never seen them around here. At work I've seen a lot of Sumitomo and the original pads there are also dust free (Mitsubishi). The Lancer Evo pads would fit, but they don't have the wear indicator and I have no clue if they're the same material as the regular pads.

Don't try to run before yu can walk!

Instead of worrying about dust, worry about stopping power. Can you lock the wheels/cycle the ABS? If you can, your tyres aren't good enough and better brakes will make no difference. If you can't lock up your brakes aren't good enough and might warrant some attention.
