I have been a user of Lexol for a long time. It seems to work well with my painted leather (which I regret buying, I should have taken the darker dyed leather that looks better as it ages).
Following the directions on the bottle, I use an applicator pad and put an even coat of Lexol on all leather surfaces (seats, shifter, steering wheel, etc), wait about an hour (longer than the directions state), and wipe everything down with a microfiber towel.
However, that last step seems to be there to remove a waxy coating that forms on the seats.
What would happen if I left this waxy coating on the seats?
I have missed small spots before and all it seemed to do was "soak" into the leather (maybe it evaporated in the heat?)
Is this more of the good stuff that should be going into the leather? Do you leave it on?
