My Fit and my Odyssey both have leather wrapped steering wheels. The only car's I've had with such wheels in the past were used and the leather was far gone by the time they were in my ownership. I have a bottle of Meg's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner spray that I've used in the past on seats. Would this sufficient for use in keeping the steering wheel leather supple and not shining up?

Yes, sorry for the shorthand in my post. That's exactly what I use. Just wanted to make sure it was okay.

The Meguiars product is fine, but it may not help with the shining up of the cover. The constant gripping of the wheel by human hands, plus the sweat and oils from human skin, plus exposure to heat and sunlight, plus the low grade of leather used on steering wheel covers..... all add up to compressing and burnishing the leather fibers and a shiny leather surface over time. If you can delay that process a little bit, that's about all that can be practically done.

I use Optimum Leather Protectant for my leather steering wheel (and seats). Water based and has cleaning abilities which makes it great for bi-weekly cleaning/protecting. Only draw back is you have to order it. I don't use or recommend oil based leather conditioners for coated leather, water based works best in this area from my research. .02
