Leather shoe laces

I have several pairs of shoes with rawhide laces that don't need to be tied every time the shoes are put on. How do I keep the laces tied? Is there a permanent way to tie them one time? Thanks. Ed

I also wear Sperry style shoes with leather laces. My solution is that when you tie the bow, when you loop the last bit through, loop it through again and pull tight. Looks like a normal knot but holds like a double knot.

A lot of people who wear moccasins/slippers put a small drop of super glue on the knot. It locks things into place.

This, if you never ned to untie.

You can make the laces damp and the a really tight knot. When they laces dry they're darn near glued together.

Tie the shoes loose and the laces tight.

Put on with a shoe horn and get used to wearing them loose.
