Leaks with Toyota Pink?

I changed to Toyota Pink a few months ago in my 95 Toyota pick up with 22R engine.
I now have 2 very small leaks where the radiator hoses(new hoses)are clamped to the water pump housing and thermostat housing which are both aluminium alloy.The water pump one is worse, fitting was corroded and pitted but has been like that for some years now.I never had any leaks with the cheap anti freeze I used before?

Are the clamps tightened enough? That may be it unless the pitting is severe and there are channels for it to escape past the hose.

I fit the clamps at the end of the hose, that way if the hose end starts to leak after an extended period due to the compress ability of the rubber going south I can cut the end off and move the clamp down onto a new uncompressed section.

Any leak is not good. no mtter how small, because chances are it will only get bigger over time.

I suggest you use just a little grease on the fitting where pitting is worst, use a grease that is rubber safe like a brake caliper lube.

If it is porous I would use silicone sealant on the pump hose fitting ends. Fill the gaps and let it dry. Or if the pump is nearing end of life, replace it.

The vehicle should've been filled originally with Toyota longlife red and not pink super longlife if that's what you mean. Did you use the "longlife" red, or the "super long life" pink? I don't know that the pink would cause leaks. Either will protect aluminum well for their recommended service life.
I'm not sure what you have been using? It doesn't sound like it was preventing aluminum corrosion.

What a lot of people did over here is use original American green in place of Toyota red. Or you could instead use G-05 or Toyota red. Like I said the Toyota red and pink should protect the aluminum best, but maybe the pink is a little more leak prone with your hoses and corrode aluminum parts.

Depending on how bad the corrosion you might have to replace the aluminum parts. As mentioned you could try cleaning up the corrosion, use sealer and screw clamps tighten down tight.

It's the silcates that filled in the small cracks and crevices in your engine. With the new silicate-free Toyota pink/red formulae, you're seeing some seepage. I'm pretty use Australian/South African "green" coolant is similar to American low-silicate green - not the old school Prestone formula.

I'd change out the thermostat and water pump housing if that's economically feasible.

On occasion i have had to use two clamps side by side to prevent small leaks. So, I would try adding an extra clamp.

A thin coating of RTV silicone gasketng on the hose barbs will also help.

I fitted an extra clamp a week ago so far so good leak has stopped.
