Yes, these threads do seem to fall off and that is too bad. I say that because usually we have real experts involved in them who deal with these additives day in day out for a living.
I have been using LC and FP since the 3000 mile mark on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. I changed oil yesterday for the first time and put in 5oz of LC20 for my 4.5 quarts of oil. I always use 1oz of FP60 per 5 gallons of gas. What I have noticed is a slight increase in gas mileage and smooth engine. I intend to fine tune my doseage when I sent Terry my oil sample.
Of course, it is difficult to determine how much I can credit these products for the mileage increase and engine performance. The truck is now broken in and maybe that would account for my increase in gas mileage, even if I did not use FP60. And Honda engines are smooth as silk anyway so I do not know for sure if LC20 is helping. However, trusted individuals here have long touted the attributes of these products as "vitamine" pills for your car. All I know is that enough people here have said they work very well and that is goo enough for me. Heck, I changed my oil to Havoline for no other reason than the general consensus here that it is pretty darn good stuff.
