Some new products tonight that we are going to try out. I got the Invisible Glass glass cleaner specifically for mom who doesn’t think my Sprayway is good enough lol 😂. That and some cherry blossom air fresheners car vent clips for her too. Then since my aerosol cans of trim restorer that I bought are both missing the tips so I can’t spray them I had to get a different one. So I have been wanting to try Jay Leno’s Garage products so I decided I’ll start with this product and see how it does. Haven’t seen much information on his products here. Then we got a Chemical Guys Clay Bar Kit. And a Mothers Headlight Restoration Kit. The Turtle Wax kit is great but only has a little bit of stuff in it so we have a bunch of other vehicles to restore lights on so needed more. Our Walmart is not nearly as loaded as the one in my work town. The one in my work town has so much more stuff than all of ours here. Ours doesn’t carry the Chemical Guys Clay Bar Kit and doesn’t have nearly the selection of their products like the one in my work towns has.
That Jay Lenos garage bottle looks suspiciously like the bottle and font for Adam's Car Care.

I just picked up a grab bag of Gtechniq stuff. CSV2, cleaner, etc. I bought into their line and like the results. Expensive for sure, but I figured I have been using some other stuff prior to this with less than stellar results. I'm a big fan!

I should also mention that I tried Bilt Hammer Traceless glass cleaner and it is now my go-to. I previously used CarPro Clarify as my go-to glass cleaner and Traceless is notably better/easier to use.

I actually don't have a favorite. There are so many on the market now it's crazy. I've read good things about DIY Ceramic Gloss. I may go back to a spray sealant though once Can Coat wears off. I don't mind applying every month or so.

I use Ech20 for so many things now. One product can be a RW, Waterless Wash, QD, Interior, Glass and drying aid. Highly dilutable. Doesn't leave much protection though.

For off the shelf - Griot's 3 in 1 for durability (beading is average). Some of the higher priced ones like Kamikaze Overcoat Spray and Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz have as close to coating water behavior that you're going to find.

This one is also supposed to be good. Made in USA too.

Buster, please share an update on your experiences and preferences for last step products. In particular, I am considering going to a spray on product vs. the traditional liquid/paste wipe on/buff off products. Can Coat EVO piques my interest as an easy-to-apply, fool proof beginners sealant. For best results, these products seem to require squeaky clean paint prep, so elbow grease is still required.

I am most interested in car finish maintenance and protection, not showroom shine. I don't use abrasive polish beyond rare minor scratch repair. THANKS!

Not much has changed really. I've kind of reached peak saturation point with detailing products. Can Coat wore off on the truck. Held up for about a year with very good hydrophobics. I've been using Wet Coat to carry me over until I can re-polish/coat again. Wet Coat or any of the spray/rinse sealants are just a quick way to help dry the car. Not much protection.

If you're going to put the work in to prep the paint via polishing, then I'd recommend throwing a coating on being they're pretty easy to apply. (Can Coat/Mohs/Cerakote etc...many good ones).

I personally like super hydrophobic products that bead exceptionally well. I just find it easier to air dry the car after washing which is my preferred method.

Some notable spray on sealants of late:

Fireball Pirouette
Fireball Duke Graphene Spray Wax
Collinite Beadcoat.

Both of the above are really good and Andreas of The Detailing School (YT Channel) in Germany says Fireball Duke is the best sealant he's ever used.

DIY Rinseless V2, CLEAN Ceramic Spray Sealant, Koch Chemie Top Star, Carpro PERL, The Rag Company microfibers and some applicator pads.

I think I mentioned it above but I've had great luck with all things Armor Detail Supply. For me, other than some random products, they have replaced most of my CarPro favorites. I did try and love Bilt Hammer Traceless glass cleaner and look forward to trying their Touchless pre-wash.

ADS is a very good brand. Very comparable to the Korean brands in terms of quality IMO.

If I find myself on the Windward side of the island I was gonna stop by the detailing shop there. Professional brands as far as the eye can see (that's not chemical guys.)

Someone mentioned here KCx Mp for engine bay detailing and protectant.
There is a sale on Jax Wax Body Shine Quick Detailer which might be my new to go for a quick detailer/clay bar lubricant.
Some stiff plastic bristle brushes for wheel and underbody cleaning.
