I posted this here instead of the deals thread because it's such a niche product. CDNN has new Crimson Trace lasergrips for J frame S&W revolvers for $80 + $10 S&H. That's less than half of what they typically sell for.

I know there's a bit of controversy about lasers on guns, but considering many defensive shootings occur during or after a physical struggle and how many people wear glasses that can get knocked off a laser adds one more layer of safety IMO. Plus, most J frames don't really have high visibility sights to begin with.

I sent that to a coworker; I thought it was $70 for the entire gun lol.

As if you can hit anything your aiming at with a J-Frame! :D

Thanks for the deal. It's a good one.
I have a 38 that I couldn't hit the side of a barn with. The trigger pull is so stiff I always shoot high. At 30 feet you have to aim 2 foot low. I'm more accurate with a 22 magnum Deringer at that distance.

Have you ever used these on a revolver? I wanted to buy one a few years back but couldn't find anybody that actually used it to see if it helped with accuracy and at what distances. I didn't want to waste a couple hundred bucks on a laser pistol site that cost more than the pistol itself.

Light weight, faster bullets can help with high hits. A set of lighter springs in the action can reduce the trigger pull, too, though too light can affect reliability.

Subscribing so I can see revolver responses. I've used a Crimson Trace laser on a 1911 with very good results after one range session. It allows you to see in real time exactly what you are doing when you pull the trigger.
With a .45 ACP it definitely improved tactical shooting for me. Normally we just practice center mass shots at the 15 yard range, but I tried out my last mag there at the end of the day. 9 hits, 8 in a tight group with one flyer (that I immediately knew what I did).

I have a set on my 340PD. The dot is a lot more visible than the sights in low light, at least at household distances.

Sounds like it's time for me to try them out. It's always good to do a little upgrading every once in a while.

A good box of ammo would probably help. One out of six shots ended up in a misfire last time.
