I might go to either this race or the spring one next year. South Point Hotel and Casino has a really affordable package with 4 nights in the hotel, tickets to all 3 races, and shuttle transportation from the hotel to the track starting at $707. I already bought my tickets to Auto Club Speedway for next year.

Don't say that.

It's probably better that it starts later....that way I can get something done around the house.

Plus hopefully it is a bit cooler for the fans and crews. I guess last year they had to take a fair amount of people to the hospital for heat related issues. I have been to LVMS for a race during the day and it was pretty hot. Unfortunately the race was cut short, but we did have to sit in the sun waiting for a few hours while they decided what to do.

just weeds out the weak.

18 made contact with the wall, Race Control is telling spotters to keep an eye on the car. No smoke yet, but it hit hard enough where it could cause an issue with the tires.

18 pitting for right side tires and clear the fender and 1/4. There should be a pit penalty for an uncontrolled tire and the gasman performing duties other than fueling.
