Larger capacity oil filter??

I presently use either a MC FL300 or Purolator 14670 on 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 w/ 4.7. What filter # could I use that would be larger and have more capacity? I know that it has probably been posted before. I tried to use "search" but couldn't find the right post.

The next step up in a Motorcraft would be the FL1A. Same threads and same bypass psi rating, but is about 1 1/2 inches longer than the FL300 you are using. You may want to buy one to test with and make sure you have the clearance as it is a very large filter.

Any of the filters listed will work if you have room for them.
