It's a new fan food, but not a new fan! I had them for the first time two years ago. But 46yr fan lol I'm was born into Philly sports until my old man decided his career advancement would be to move the family to Detroit lol. I try to get back at least every other year and get to a birds, phils, or both games
Chickie and Pete's has been serving them since forever.
Somehow I never had them before. Only reason I tried them is because my kid wanted some lol

We have one close by. I used to hate the place feeling that you're waiting forever to be seated, yet nobody is doing anything (there are always like 5 staff around the register hanging out). But my son loves it and now we go there every time he earns a new belt in karate, and I've softened my position. The food is actually not bad for bar type fare.

I was going to say. I’ve been having them for 20 years or however long C&P has had the “new” restaurant in Packer Park shopping center. That place can’t be beat - C&P, Pastaficio is about the best sandwiches you can get anywhere in the world, Celebre’s is about my favorite NY style pizza in the world, and finish it off with a Canoli at Termini’s. Perfect. Folks traveling to Philly should go see independence hall, the liberty bell, then eat in that shopping center (if not going to the New Delhi Indian Buffet by Penn).
Ahh a lager (Yuengling) and a steak from Leo's in Folcroft is my go to

It’s funny when you go to other places far away that have Yuengling, order a lager by habit, and they look at you like you have two heads.
Watched the game at a sports bar across the Delaware River in Canden. Did not drive home DUI because, while in the bar, my car was stolen.

I remember the scene from Death Wish 3, where two thieves are in the process of hot wiring Charles Bronson's car to steal it and he confronts them. And shoots them dead.

Not really true. Is it great, no. Is it horrible short of a few places where specific people cause specific trouble? Meh. Would I live there? No.
You could say the same about places anywhere.
