Kyle Busch passed away

Busch family released cause of death: Severe pneumonia =sepsis.
Take respiratory things serious people and don’t push it.

At least that should put an end to the rampant speculation. We're at the Brickyard this weekend, and it's amazing how many 'medical experts' I've overheard who had this all figured out, and were willing to tell anyone within earshot their (wrong) diagnosis.

How very sad, but I am happy they released the cause. It will probably save lives with someone who will now seek medical help instead of wait based on knowing that if it takes a young healthy athlete it can take anyone.

I was once told sepsis is the third leading cause of death in hospitals. It's the body's imune reaction to a severe infection..My mother was fortunate to beat it. It was close however.

Definitely. The amount of speculation and people who did their “own research,” is astonishing.

Yes.

And do NOT ignore symptoms if you’re not feeling good.
But this is harder to do then said.
I once had upper respiratory infection. Came back from road trip to Chicago, coughing like crazy. Go to get spicy ramen, contract salmonella.
So those two things alone are enough, but no, my gout (which I found I have it bcs. I went to doctor during that ordeal) start behaving.
7 days, 20lbs lighter, and like one Wednesday got better, Friday was on an airplane to Amsterdam bcs. work.
Work, family, etc. these things creep on you.
I bet he was under pressure: racing, cannot drop the ball, responsibility towards team, sponsors, family then your own goals? Yeah, easily getting caught in that vicious circle.

I think my FiL is still alive despite septic shock and on the mend because his immune system was asleep at the wheel. His blood work was wack, but he felt fine. Drs were shocked he had no fever or symptoms other than his kidneys shutting down.

I told my wife that it was probably undiagnosed pneumonia. It appears that I was correct. Sinus infections can and sometimes do progress to bronchitis and pneumonia. A severe sinus infection that is not treated correctly will definitely progress.
