Kyle Busch passed away

As 18 Fan I am very saddened and praying for his family.
Never realized that - Wow, RIP KB …

Probably a driver I was most familiar with because of the frequent social media postings about his son's up and coming racing career. Kind of felt like I almost knew the family which makes this that much sadder. To go from winning a truck race and then passing away days later at such a young age is tragic. Feel awful for Samantha and the kids.

Blood clot in lung can kill quickly. Not saying this what killed him…. but it can kill a healthy person.

RIP.
Yup. That happened to my wife a number of years back. She survived it. A year later the cardiologist mentioned he did not believe she would make it at the time. We were too dumb at the time to realize how serious it was. She was 31 and I was 32.

I visited the RCR museum in Welcome, N.C. along with 3 friends 4 weeks ago. They had a nice area dedicated to Rowdy along with a couple of old Childress race cars and a ton of Earnhardt cars and memorabilia. IMO RCR couldn’t build a good enough car for the amazing talent of Kyle Busch. He was the dominant driver in NASCAR in the JGR Toyotas but the last several years through no fault of his own, fell off the map with RCR. His checkered flag bow while standing on the roof of his car in front of thousands of jeering fans was the ultimate “ in your face…haters “ ! RIP Rowdy!

I read Kyle passed out while at the Chevrolet simulator on Wednesday. I wonder how many of us would have called in sick instead. This goes to show that greatness requires not only supreme talent, it requires dedication and commitment that most people don't have.

It leaves me to wonder what if KB had gotten a top tier ride at Indy for say, Penske or Ganassi what he might have done.

Very few are able to successfully transfer from Indycar to NASCAR, and win at both. Tony Stewart was one of the very few who have. 2 different worlds. NASCAR is all slide, slam, and bang.

Where as in Indycar the area around the car cannot touch. If wheel to wheel contact is made, an accident is most always the result. Kyle Larson found that out when he took out Stingray Robb in last years 500. ( I think it was last year). Robb was having what looked to be a good race up until then.

Danica learned this the hard way as well. She did much better in Indycar, managing at least one win. In NASCAR she was a total disaster. A one woman wrecking crew... But saved herself in the financial aspect, because she was at least marketable, being a good looking woman, and made a ton of money.

This in spite of wrecking equipment left and right, without much to show for it except a slew of 20+ place finishes. Perhaps KB could have pulled it off. But we'll never know, and that's the sad part.

There are all sorts of reasons a young person could die suddenly. Unless the family chooses to make the official cause of death public, it's all speculation.

Prayers to his family.
