what brands of motor oil does kmart carry? and are they similar in price to walmart? do they carry 5 qt jugs?

also what kind of oil filters do they have? i know about purolator but what else?

does anyone here shop kmart over walmart?

Price-wise, Walmart is your best bet, unless there is some clearance going on at Kmart.

K-Mart oil is horrendously overpriced. They carry Purolator oil and air filters at reasonable prices, though. IF they would get a clue and would sell oil at reasonable prices, people would buy it.

their site is horrible. all they show is 1 qt bottles of valvoline 5w30 and random spectrum plus bottles.

which brings me to another question...why doesn't walmart list motor oil/filters on their site?

Probably because it's not cost effective to sell motor oil online compared to buying in store... shipping would cost as much as the oil itself.

i see what you're saying but it'd be nice to at least be able to check their inventory and compare prices before you drive all the way to the store. they could have a buy online, pickup in store option or something

Prices vary from store to store on some items. it's part of their (very complex) inventory and forecasting system. they also don't carry all of the same items in each store.

You can shop online and pickup using AAP....

Kmart usually has a OK sale on one brand of oil every few weeks or so.

This week it is Valvoline 5 qt's for $12. MaxLife 5 qt's for $14
