OK, maybe a little off from this forum.

Need circuit finder. HD has a Klein for $39.95. Amazon has a Amprobe for just under $60.

Klein is an excellent brand. So is Amprobe.

This will be used once and awhile, not every week or day.

I don't know anything about this line of products, but have you looked for the Klein one at other places (online) other than HD? Chances are you can find it cheaper than at HD.

Go with whatever one you will get the most benefit out of. If the Klein meets all your needs, try and find it as cheaply as possible. If it doesn't meet your needs, get the other one from Amazon.

I won't shop at HD because they are very vocal supporters of a particular cause I don't support.

Model #'s please so that an intelligent reply can be given. Without the model #'s this will just turn into subjective rhetoric.

Klein ET300, about $39.95 at HD, slightly more on Amazon

Amprobe

I have an Amprobe Breaker Finder which I bought about twenty years ago and it has served me well. Still works well and it looks nothing like the one you linked to.

I'm not familiar with either of those models. I use a GB (Gardner Bender) GET1200. . It's in the same price range as what you're looking at. It works OK, not perfectly accurate. It will buzz in the vicinity of the active circuit. I have to isolate the circuit by turning off the adjacent breaker.

As said, both are good names, but these are still low priced Chinese manufactured non-professional tools. You do get what you pay for.
