Golden State Warriors won the 2014-15 NBA title with a 105-97 victory in Cleveland. The NBA Finals MVP is Stephen Curry and he is also regular-season MVP.

Congratulation to the Warriors.

They did beat the Cavaliers with two of their best players out of the line up. I picked the Warriors in 6 prior to Irving going out. But it was never going to happen for the Cavs once Irving went out. This would have been the same if Curry and Thompson went out for the Warriors. Reminds me of the Detroit Pistons beating the LA Lakers with Byron Scott out prior to the series and Magic tearing his hamstring in Game 2 in the second half. LA stood zero chance of winning after that. When a team loses 2 of their top 3 players it is an insurmountable mountain to climb up to win.
It would have been a great series if the Cavaliers were all playing.
But I am glad the Warriors did win in a way.. Been 40 years since their last championship. Also won 67 games and went 39-2 at home in the regular season. Only one NBA team with s better home record all time in one season.. Boston went 40-1 in 1985-86 I believe. When Curry came out there were MANY doubters that he really could play at a high level in the NBA. But he has more than proved them WRONG. He's not just a great shooter.. He's a natural playmaker for his teammates too. That in my opinion is what makes him truly special. Bob Cousy like with his play making ability.

You need a team to win. James is very very good, but it's him plus 4 guys on the court, not a team.

Being a pompous guy is a good way to unite the other team, and alienate your own.

The best team won in this case.

Stephen Curry was not the series MVP it was Andre Iguodala

I thought Iguodala was named MVP?

I am so sick of him...I'm glad they lost...this isn't an individual sport, it's a team sport...a good TEAM will beat the best player every time...

+1 When playing at this level 1 man can make a difference but this series loss shows it's the sum of the whole not the stand out individual. Kinda like the baddest engine in the world yet the trans is lacking a few gears to get the most out of the engine.

The golden state win means injuries do matter... big surprise.

I wrote the Cavs off After Love was Assaulted and Irving was sitting out games for multiple injuries.

I'm actually surprised they won 2 games.

My biggest take on this whole thing is Atlanta wasn't Spurs 2.0
because the Cavs destroyed them.

You're right, Andre Iguodala is NBA Finals MVP.

Maybe Lebron should have stayed in Miami ?

I was actually pulling for LeBron. Feel bad for Cleveland fans plus it would have been the greatest performance in a series ever. No way that team of schleps should have won a game. I respect LeBron way more now than before. He showed lots of heart. Love Iggy too, but he seemed to get an awful lot of benefit of the doubt by the refs. I think if he doesn't perform as he did the Warriors would have lost to a one man team.

I am pretty sure, refaller, that at this point Cleveland sports fans have become numbed to sadness; and possibly even to the intermittent joys of life. Even though the poor wretches stumble joylessly through their working and personal lives in a daze, half-responding when they hear the words "Cavs" or "Browns" or "Indians" (did someone say "Barons"?) pitying them is only degrading.

If you ever come across someone whose spirit hasn't yet been completely crushed and can muster the will to publicly admit affection for one of these organizations (some may even be wearing maize and blue, but will not make eye contact with you if you ask about it), don't stir the pot nor muddy their emotional waters by encouraging them to speak of these things: Instead, turn the conversation to some other subject, like lake effect snow or "A Christmas Story".

1. The irony is he left Mia in part due to that team's "broken parts"...and then he gets stuck with another team with broken parts.
2. LBJ also seems to have disliked being subordinate to Coach Spo and Riley.

I'd bet Riley is smiling at James failure...and the lesson he has to learn regarding managing a complex sports organization.
I expect Riley to let Wade go (to Cleve?!?!) and to rebuild the Heat starting with next year's crop of free agents...

Wade is broken and at the end of his career. The Heat will only resign Wade out of respect for all he has done in Miami.... not because he is the superstar he once was.

James wanted to come back to Cleveland and single handedly bring about a Championship, and that very attitude was his downfall. He's a true prostitute, who wants to build a perfect tIam.

He is a competitor. He had no idea Love & Irving would go down. Besides, he and is slightly-sub-par team almost made it all the way! (You living near Miami just want to slam him.)

I want to slam him because I live near Miami? Wow. That makes a lot of sense......not.

You just want to support him because you are close to the same latitude as Cleveland.
