Without doubt. FL has negligent entrustment, but we even go a step further with what is known as the "dangerous instrumentality doctrine". Grossly oversummarized, in FL, the owner of a motor vehicle is primarily responsible for damage caused as a result of its use, ahead of the driver. Whenever there is a crash, BOTH the owner and driver are responsible, but the owner is "in line" ahead of the driver. Rental car companies hate the rule and have fought for years to get it undone. I like it because it really forces people to be careful about who they allow to use their cars.
