Yeah, and let Dubya crack one joke about Kerry's flip-flops and the Dems cry "Hate speech!"

If only Lee Atwater was still alive to really take it to them.

Actually Peter Jennings (ABC) covered it. I am seeing more and more that the main stream news is becoming more fair. ABC is the best and Tom Brokow is the worst. But Katie Couric, and Matt Lauer seem to be reasonable in the morning.

And also to be fair-Rush Limbaugh has become to far out (even for him) that I can't stand to listen to him any more.

My fiance watches Katie and Matt. They seem to always take an antagonistic role with politicians, whoever they are talking to, which is fine, as long as they do it to both sides.

I agre on Rush, he's as far out as Brokaw, just on the other side.

I think the other networks are following Fox's model and realizing people are tired of the liberal bias. The Kerry comment doesn't bother me. I think he was directing it at the Hannitys and Limbaughs of the world. It's going to be interesting to see if the new Liberal Talk Radio can succeed. Kerry's record I think will be his downfall. He is just too liberal for most Americans.

Kerry spoke the absolute truth in those comments and I respect him for not backing off them.

Of course now he can include his party in that too.

Both parties make me sick.

I do predict he will be the new president.

There are so many workers hurting in this country that Bush, rightly or wrongly will get booted for it.

I feel the same way on an emotional level.

I use to think NBC, and MSNBC, were about as fair and balanced as it gets. Now, I can hardly stand to watch them, well, maybe Joe Scarburough. It's so obvious they do not favor Bush. CNN is pretty bad as well, as they have no right-sided point of view except CrossFire, which is a freakin retarded show IMO. CNN's only saving grace is Wolf Blitzer's shows, which IMO are straight up news, with little to no one-sided analysis.

I still think Bush will be re-elected, quite handsomly too. IMO, after reading many articles and taking several Economics classes, we are simply in one of the most fundamental structural economic changes in the history of this country, and the world for that matter. The job loss we have seen in the past 4 years is not cyclical in nature at all; the majority of those jobs are not coming back to this country any time soon. The overall fundamental statistics in the economy are VERY STRONG, except job growth. There is no way around that. I guess my point is, Bush is hardly to blame for the fact that globilization has increased 1000 fold in the last 4 years. We will lose out in the short run, but if we finally re-negotiate some of our more short sided trade deals and equalize the playing field on a global level, we will win out big time in the long run.

Great points Drew, but the thing is most Americans don't realize that and believe whatever the politicians in their favorite party tell them. For the record, I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and their vote, I just wish people were more informed. I didn't vote for Bush in the 2000 primary because I didn't think he was conservative enough.

I'll probably write-in Alan Keyes again this year too, even though he isn't running.

The bottom of the screen message on CNN this morning read "Mudslinging Begins" followed by a sentence on Bush's new set of ads. Sometimes the liberal bias is just monumental.

Thing is, I think Kerry honestly believes what he said and he thinks his mission is to save America and the world from Bush and the evil Republicans, oil companies, and Halliburton.

Nevermind that ALL Democratic candidates have been attacking Bush relentlessly for many months now. It boils my blood to hear Kerry complaint about Bush's negative ads. I think he needs to step up to the plate and "man up" a little.

I was listening to Gephard's former campaign manager and he said the plan for raising taxes is to take from the "rich" and give to the "poor." He said there was nothing wrong with taxin "rich" people as much as...... 39%

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but in my dictionary that is called "Socialism", the redistribution of wealth from the "rich" to the "poor." The majority of that money will supposedly pay the deficit and will also expand the government (as if we need more burocracy)
If Kerry does win, I hope and pray the combined income of my wife and I of ~ $50k a year isn't considered "rich" or else I'll be bankrupt in less than a year.
BTW, no hate speech or made up stuff.....I heard that from Democrats themselves.

I have a very major problem with anybody that I consider to be a hypocrite. Kerry has been running negative ads against Bush for a long time and the moment that Bush starts running some negative ads against Kerry suddenly we hear Kerry talking about a Republican attack squad out to get him. If that is not hypocritical then I don't know what is. Plus on top of all of that Bush's negative ads were still responsible and relatively mild.

Personally I dearly hope Kerry will not become president. His book with the upside down American flag is enough for me to vote against him. Add what he did in a radical anti-war group, his voting record in Congress, his failure to even address the terrorism issue, his hypocritical behavior, and there is no way I will vote for this guy.

Bush is not perfect. Bush could do a lot more to reduce unemployment and so forth. But at least Bush is fighting the terrorists who would destroy this country if they could.

There are people out there trying to kill us. That calls for military action. That does not call for making a speech at the UN.

quote:

"Kerry also proposed creating a $50 billion fund to help states provide relief from state and local taxes for working families that he said have been struggling."

A. Pure and unadulterated socialism.
B. Class warfare. This would create a bigger government with more bueracracy. Guess who would pay for this fund? Any of us who are not victimized or in a minority group.

Don't we all struggle when the government robs us of our funds?

I hope people see how the real Kerry has waffled on just every issue identified.

Sorry, I don't respect this guy one bit.

And the Dems don't lie? Gimme a break!

I never listen to Rush the Junkie or his clone, Sean Hannity. Bill O'Reilly is pretty awful too.

The best invention is Al Gore Jr.'s internet. There is plenty to read, on every side of the issues.

I never make it through more than a couple of minutes of the evening news on any of ABC, NBC, CBS, or CNN. Those shows are totally unacceptable. I don't look for the bias, it just slaps me on the side of the head.

Keith.
