Kendall "Synthetic"

Hello to all,

I noticed for $4.99/quart at my local PEP BOYS Kendall synthetic oil. For the unusual low price I was just wondering if anyone's had experience with this oil.

Isn't it made by Conoco/Phillips? If so it might be the same as one of their other full-syn oils? I bet it is Group-III base though

I use to use kendall 20w 50 with no problems, but when you compare it to PP 5qt jug for $23 it's not that much of an unusually low price.

That's not bad, but Conoco's Motorcraft already has a great base stock and a rich additive package. If you are changing oil at 5000-6000 miles anyway, you'd never know the difference. The Kendall Synth, however, is a great price on a great oil...as well.

The Kendal oil is the exact same thing as the 76 Lubricants line. Made by Conoco as another member posted. It is actually really good oil.

It was carried by a regional hardware chain (Value) for $3 a quart. Cases upon cases of it. I've checked twice now in the past month, and no oil and they've taken the product pricing off the shelf.

If it's a good oil produced by Conoco-Phillips then I may just give it a try since it's labeled a "FULL" synthetic.

Question, then how would it compare to M1???? Isn't this oil a group 3 too??

The stuff I see at Valu is semi-synthetic. I have yet to see the Full Synthetic stuff for 3 bucks a quart, or I would buy it all up.
