Yes I did.

One Lap Of America was 5600 miles, it was 725 for me to get to start, 725 to get home, 150 track miles and 120 getting lost in Colorado. 1200 bucks in fuel. It was a blast. Later John

Ps to be honest I have to recehck my ending mileage. I thought my final count was higher 7549 is what I rememebr.I will check tomoorw.

Those look like very good wear numbers for an LS1 and the conditions you noted.

The 2.5% fuel contamination seems high though.

I once drove 6000 miles in a week..Went from Charlotte to Los Angeles stayed a few days, then went back...fun fun! Rental car too.. he he.

That definitely could be a concern, unless this oil contains some to begin with, like Redline does. A VOA on this oil would help determine that.

These wear numbers look simply incredible for the amount of abuse this car saw!

Any make up oil? That trip must have been a blast! One driver for the entire race?

Did cross country trip in one week from NJ to CA back in '88 to watch the GP bike race in Laguna Seca. Only had 2 full nights sleep during the trip, one in Vegas and the other in the Bay Area.
Driving shared between myself, my older brother and my best friend.

Ojustracing, didn't you come here asking which oil would be the best for this event?

Happy with the result?

I would be.

Did the car require much make-up oil during the interval?

Yes he did Thread

If he can't get more for free if I were him I'd just buy some ...it looks like very good oil . The 76 5w-40 should be the same .

Looks like this oil is at the top of the list for taking a beating still and smelling like roeses in the end. The only thing missing is a couple months worth of cold starts to place this oil at or near the top of the 5w-40 synth hill.

All them miles in less than two weeks! WOW! Didn't your back hurt??

Look mom, no Moly!!

To be honest in the past Kendall didn't impress me. I'd like to see some combo driving in some other vehicles on this oil, but obvisouly it loves the highway in your car!!!

Great oil, must be an awesome base formulation. I would love to try this in my newer Volvo.

Well where do I start. Did my back hurt not really the seats in the car a very comfortable.
Make up oil was 1.5 qts

The 3 things that bug myself are the Sod and Potassium, and the fuel Dilution.
On the fuel Dil could that of been from my sample technique. The car does run rich around town and this time I may not of warmed it like I usually do. I returned home parked the car left for work on monday and changed the oil that afternoon.
2 the sodium and Potassium can only come from Antifreeze right? Im looking at my earlier test and it does show sod at 5 and Potassium 2 but this sample only had 1200 miles on it but had almost 200 miles of track time.
Let me know what you think. I will post the other if you guys want but because of the low mileage of sample I didnt think it should be posted. Later John

Unbelievable report! This is amazing. I'd say a nice 5w-40 is the way to go in these engines. And yes, NO MOLY! There is more then meets the eye with oils. More to the basestock blends like Amsoil.

There is probably nothing to be fixed! He is most likely getting the fuel from the racing he did. When he steps off the gas, the massive vaccumm created will just about suck the atmosphere past the piston rings......that's how he's getting the high fuel.

Ojustracing,
Where did you get that Kendall 5W-40?
Awesome report!

Autozone's carry the Kendall oil but of course not all stores have it but it can be ordered at no additional cost .

Product number 7182 which I don't think they can use but bar code number 75731 71823 they can .

at 4 bucks a quart or less

Sorry, don't buy that Last_Z... Unless it is heavily modified and not properly tuned.

No modern fuel injected vehicle should have fuel dilution, ever.

By the way fuel injected cars shut off the injectors when decelerating with a closed throttle. Even if they didn't your reasoning is still faulty.
