Just picked some of this up at autozone (semi-syn). I thought I remembered seeing a thread on here a day or 2 ago talking about Conoco's base oil coming from Korea and that it was a realy good base oil. There was even a picture of the back of a bottle saying it was made in Korea and bottled in the USA. The stuff I got is the new SN formula, but it says its made in the USA, nothing on it mentioning Korea. Just found that to be interesting.

The marketing guys got a little carried away with the whole "GT-1" labeling. The full synthetic stuff I bought says made in Korea (GT-1 Euro and GT-1 0w-20), I think all of the semi-syn is USA made.

The Full Synthetic from Korea is refined by SK Lubricants, they are definitely on the cutting edge of Grp. III oils. The Kendall synblend is COP USA and is very good also. Amazon has a pretty decent price for a 12 qt. case for $49.99 for 5w30.
ok, so thats where I got confused. I got this stuff for my wifes 96 explorer (4.0). This last run I had GTX in it. I normally run GC in it (it seems to run better on that stuff, its noiser on regular 30weight oils) but I had the GTX for my jeep which I sold before I could do the oil change so I went ahead and used that in her explorer. This time I went with the Kendal Syn. blend for cost reasons, trying to save what I can this close to christmas
I'll see how this stuff does, might go back to GC when the funds allow. I wish I could find this stuff in 5w-20 around here for my Scion, but autozone is the only place that sells it and they only have 5w30, 10w30, and I think either 20w-50 or 10w-40
