Just replaced carburetor and intake manifold on push mower and it won't start...

I also used the new diaphragm and gasket that came with the carburetor. The mower started without problem before replacing these parts, but the carb was original and filthy and when I removed it, the manifold cracked, so I of course replaced that as well. The engine is almost identical to this one by the way.

When I press the bulb multiple times, it starts to turn over but dies just after. What the *^#&?

Try some Carburetor Cleaner, 2 quick squirts into the carburetor and see if it starts. I do this each time with my mower because my primer bulb does not work. Might also want to check the fuel line or put a new 1 on.

The OP already said that it fires up with the primer, so it’s obviously not that, so squirting carb cleaner? (know you probably meant hot start) won’t solve anything.

Op, half your problems are already solved, you know that the ignition is working. As far as the fuel side, remove the carb and take it apart. Problems should become obvious after a close inspection of the usual suspects 🧐

If it starts but won't run, it's got compression & spark so it must not be getting proper A/F mix from the carb. Common problems are air leaks anywhere along the intake, which draw in unfiltered air bypassing the carb throat, making it run lean or not at all. And fuel: stuck float, blocked jet or line, etc.

People sometimes over tighten the carb on small engines which screws it up if It cracks something.
Then they play with RPM , a jet change, drilling the jet or who knows. I imagine the cheap Chinese carbs
don't come new with the float set correctly 100% of the time.

used one of those for 12 years. It always needed something, like every 6 months. (recoil spring, plastic intake cut by cowling, loose head bolts)
the YT vid looks thorough. But check the head bolt torque too. These love to blow the head gasket by the exhaust bolts.
He mentions it at 3:10 or so in the vid. Hated that thing, & I love all the other (older) B&S stuff........

A cautionary tale here.

These are really simple. Most likely the jet is clogged. Remove screen and shoot spray carb cleaner through the hole. Also check that the spring is in place and the diaphragm is properly placed. The fuel bowl pocket under the jet screen should be full of gas.

I'm a moron. I had forgot to reattach the governor spring. All good now, sorry to waste your time.
We all make mistakes or forget things when doing stuff like this, not like we do this everyday. Important thing is you did not give up and you figured it out.
