You're right but I'm a 9mm guy for semi automatic and a .38 guy for revolvers...maybe 25 or a 100 rounds of .357 here and there.
Although since I got that Taurus TX22 and the dueling tree, .22 has renewed meaning in my life.
40 is not. And today, you can get a nice Sig226 , in 40 for 400 bucks, as they are out of style. or an M&P for 250

for a fella on a budget, this is the way I would go. ammo is close to the same price for 40 and 9, depending on type and brand. Overall, a wash.

I tried to order that same one but TSC screwed up the ship-to-store delivery. I cancelled and got the one from Amazon. I like the small upper cabinet portion. The light inside is useless but I don't need it. I like the idea of the separate battery power bank if the batteries in the combination lock die. Overall, it's been a good purchase.
It's 50% more expensive than 9mm typically (at AIM).

If you're asking about the gun locker...I paid $170+tax. I think they're still the same price.

There's literally dozens of similar ones on Amazon. One thing to keep in mind if considering purchasing one is that the advertised capacity on every one of them is misleading to the extent that they do not account for scopes/optics, lights, bipods, etc...

I saw one of those (but skinnier) out on public lands last week, while hiking near a county road. No joke.
Guessing it was stolen, and whatever was inside was gone....because the door was cut open at the hinges. And that digital keypad lock was popped off.
Looks like more of a storage locker for guns, but not a bolted safe.
It's up to you, but I would recommend bolting the back or base of it to the house foundation or wall backing. My 2 cents.

I have it screwed into the steel studs in my basement furnace room. Motion sensor covering the only window and a contact on the door. In fact, you can't see it when you open the door to that room.
