I can't say that I do.
I have watched the preliminary auditions for cheap entertainment, but only a couple times. I am not one to watch much T.V.
I occasionally watch a few of the first episodes just to hear the bad singers. Once everyone goes to Hollywood I stop watching. I can't stand any of the songs they sing. They should have a metal version of American Idol. I'd watch that.

I don't watch that or Canadian idol...
i watch the preliminary episodes to. I sometimes feel really bad for the [censored] singers. Alot of them actually think they can sing and thats what cracks me up. I know...its mean, but i just cant help laughing.

YES! It's a blast to watch the idiots sing. Like the red-haired bigger one with the goth look who had holes in her lips that was on yesterday. She REALLY thought she had a chance. LOL!
Once it moves to Hollywood, I could care less. It loses it's fun and becomes a slow-moving spectacle.

Another episode of BAD ENTERTAINMENT (bad cinema from SNL of years past)

What was the Ed McMahon (iirc) hosted or produced show that preceded American Idol? I had friends that ran a theater and one of the performers was one of the runner up's from that show. They appeared to specialize in FULL BLOWN LOCOMOTIVE HORN ENDINGS to every performance. She continued to do this in her post television career.
Watched one night and a certain female idol was not umm '[censored]' didn't win but very successful now.
