We don't think anything about. No national news, no biggie. We just carry on.

You forgot to post the relative humidity. Isn't it something like -10%RH there?

That's some tough weather. Respect.

It's -28F now.....

RH is 77%.

Dew Point is -33F, so the temp should hit -30F or so pretty soon.

And folks like HVAC mechanics, utilities electricians, work outside in it. Making emergency no-heat calls 24/7. Matter of life and death for travelers in rural areas at night.

Yep, we (hopefully all) just bundle up!

I have to drive myself to the Mayo Clinic soon today. Not concerned about the temp.

My due respect for all you folks living in the frozen Great White North.

Those temps are why I live in the southeast. And I thought we have been having a cold snap.

Schools have been delayed or closed for the past 3 or 4 school days. Work has been delayed as well. I guess we are too soft down here. Or probably simply not prepared with trucks, scoops, salt, etc

And people down here sure cant drive on snow and ice. They play dodge car out there. Crazy.

But we do get some nice winter days from time to time and get out the motorcycles and golf clubs for a quick respite. Guess that is why we live down here.

My hat is off to you folks. Stay warm

Good lord!! Brrrr!! Be safe and careful Turk getting out in that weather today!

-25 isn't so bad, it's a 'dry cold'.
Like in Arizona with their dry heat.

Yesterday we had temps. in the mid 20's / nice day.

Edit: Turk, good luck with your Hospital appointment.

Never have been in that kind of weather and would not want ever want to be. You are a tough bunch in that neck of the woods.

-25*F is what we had last year during that huge winter storm. Very cold indeed and by far the coldest temps I have ever seen.

*I could feel ice forming on my eyes!

It was 25F yesterday. I was doing some work outside with no jacket. Felt warm!

Yesterday our temperature was 25F.
No kidding, I saw someone walking down the sidewalk wearing shorts.

I just heard on the t.v. in the next room about freezing rain in texas canceling flights , and this storm heading east.northern Arizona and new mexico are getting/going to get snow.this is from a Detroit weather forecast.
it's been a crazy winter for many areas, relative to the norm.

a lot of americans from mi., and oh. are in Windsor all the time, and 24/7,since the casino opened some years back. just like some posters here from the south like to give jabs at the northern posters about the winters, these americans can often be heard talking about why people would want to live in the south.
comments like -- gulf states have crazy rain storms, tropical storms that bring gale force winds and monsoon rains. and the hurricanes -- and the threat of them every year, forever.
12 named tropical storms, 6 hurricanes, and 3 severe hurricanes are forecast this year.this comment was heard in a deli about a week ago.
why would people live in a desert where it hits 100, 110 F., for much of the year, and you can't even go outside?
why would would people live where drought, crazy rains, mudslides and earthquakes are common?

again, mi., and oh. residents commenting about the weather, which seems to be a common topic anywhere you go.i guess that's why they live in the north.

much of it has to do with one's upbringing.if one doesn't like the weather as a kid, location aside, get the proper training/education so you can get work in an area in which you like the weather.
it comes down to -- to each his own.

to those in the northeast --hang in there, people. a few more weeks of winter, and it's done.

Back in 2011 I went on a Boy Scout leaders cold weather training outing in Ely, MN. We stayed outside for 60 hours straight. We built snow igloos and slept in them. It was down to -20 one night and -24 the next. I think it took me a week to thaw out.
