finally upgraded to FF 3.6.3 from 3.5.9

So far so good...I hope it's free from the random crashes 3.5 had...
I needed to find only 1 new version for add-ons ...tab mix plus...other than that, all my add-ons and theme works ok...

I am not doing the personas stuff...I might have played with it if it could be done with any theme, but apparently you have to use FF 3.5 default theme to check the personas out...nah.

I used Firefox for a long time but after trying Google Chrome have switched to it both in Linux and Windows. Like the speed and extensions it offers.

May try Firefox again when version 4 is released?

Yeah, it 3.6 runs pretty good. Had a crash yesterday, but its probably not relevant as Im not running the official version.
I tried google chrome but something about it ticked me off; I couldn't stand it.

exactly - chrome feels fast, but it looks so...disjointed or something...i must have gotten used to my highly customized look/feel of my FF browser..

and why the heck don't bookmarks on chrome (from bookmarks toolbar) automatically open in a new tab, OR URLs typed in the address bar? That's just dumb. You always have to click on a "new tab" button, THEN click on the bookmark or type in a web address!

Check the extensions for Chrome. You will find several different tab options. One may meet your needs plus give you some additional features not available with other browsers.

I run stock Chrome version 4.1.249.1036 no extensions or anything.

Once I figured out a workaround for the bookmarks using the bookmarks bar, I haven't looked back. The only problem I have is the absence of print preview. Hopefully they will add it in the next release.

How do you do that in FF? Mine open in existing tab.

I have tab mix plus and you can set that way (plus a bunch of other options for tab behavior):

tab mix plus options--> tab opening --> open tabs from (check list)

I tried Google Chrome and even though it opened quicker than FF, it took longer to load the Google search page, which I use as a home page.
FF 3.6 loads Google quicker than Google does....go figure.

I uninstalled Chrome and switch between FF and Opera.

Warning for those who use the VMware plugin with FF. It doesn't work with any version greater than 3.5.9.
