I have no experience with the Kubota BX, but they do say the JD equivalent (1025 maybe?) is much more user friendly and also does a better job mowing with the belly mower.
Yanmar diesel power. I have no issues with the little diesel Deeres.
I ACTUALLY own stock in John Deere! It was probably 25 years ago, at a Parts Expo in Tampa, FL as I recall.
They had a drawing for 100's of people, and I got lucky and won the prize!
I own 1 stock, and am rich and can retire any time I choose.
I only wish that I had had the resources to buy a great deal more. With dividends re-invested, our return has been well over 500%.
I am a fan of John Deere. People love to talk about tech stocks, and all of the glamour investing, and tech gets the buzz and the press, but owning shares in a farm equipment company has been among our very best moves.

Agree, the BX is a bit smaller, the hydraulics are less smooth. It however is perfect to get into backyards and the turning radius is better. Its also arguably better with the float function and spreading material.
