Ford in Louisville was hiring 2 weeks ago, google it, it will be lottery drawn.Around 1000 positions. Maybe you can still apply.
I thank God I never had troubles with jobs. But it took me about 3 years to get into IT field, after I moved to US,and then directly about 6 months of talking with current company. Lucky company is worldwide and we have plenty non US born people working there, and manager liked me a lot, I guess since her son is little younger than I am, and studying same major in same college,I used to study... Look up GTECH online, they always have openings across US and worldwide. They not really picky about degrees, and most people get in to entry positions with little IT experience. You will get full time and full benefits, even extra benefits like tuition assistance and adoption assistance. And there is always opportunity to grow twice a year if you qualify. So far I'm happy, and declined about a dozen of more highly paid offers for other IT companies, they don't sound stable, plus I have plenty of time to study at work place, they don't mind about it and pay for tuition, hopefully I'll be done with next degree in a year and move up...
Give it a shot, who knows.
