Jeep Coolant Change?

Been reading a bit on this forum and I have seen many people make the switch to G-05 coolant. I have also read the "drain add distilled water run til thrmostat opens and drain again and repeat until it's clear" method.
I was just wondering if the switch is worth the time and money? I have been going to a "quick lube" every other year or 25k and have paid $40 for the coolant flush. I think they use the machine to replace 100% of your coolant with a 50/50 mixture of fresh green coolant.
I have not had any engine cooling problems and was just wondering what the Zerex G05 Coolant would do that a regular green coolant would not.

If You are paying money to have your cooling system serviced every 2 years you'll never know exactly what coolant formulation is in your vehicle. People who professionally service different makes usually buy their fluid in bulk from a distributor and generally is a brand name you never heard of but is probably labeled "universal". The people who run these shops will tell you they use this product for everything and never had a complaint. (which is probably true) (Same comments apply to transmission fluid)
The type of guy who frequents this forum ,however, would cringe at the thought any form of compromise in the fluids being used.
It is doubtful that you woud ever notice the difference between G-05 and Garage Green in actual practice. G-05 can stay in longer than conventional and is probably OK for 3 or four years instead of 2. Some people never change the antifreeze and actually get away with it.
Even green anti-freeze isn't the same as it used to be. Prestone green is now chemically identical to the stuff they sell as an equivalent to dex-cool except for the color.( read the label) That product isn't the same as G-05 either. It won't be long before all conventional green will be obsolete. The newer formulas do work better and last longer. I don't think any Auto Manuf. is factory filling with conventional High Silicate green. I think most cars are better off with G-05, Thats what I use in my Grand Cherokee and it works fine.
