Jeep Comanche Trailer Hitch....suggestions?

I have a 1990 Jeep Comanche 4.0L and would like to install a trailer hitch (the type that bolts to the frame). I would like to use it to pull a single axle trailer around town and the farm (plywood, bushes, firewood etc.). I won't do any excessive towing with it as I don't want to wear out the transmission. Anything really heavy or long trips will be pulled with the Tahoe. I won't take the Tahoe into the woods or places were it might get scratched up, but it doesn't really matter about the Jeep.

It is hard to find hitches for these old Comanches, but I found one on hiddenhitch.com for $202 delivered. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might be able to find a hitch that is a little less expensive? Would a ball on the step bumper be adequate for this type of towing? Thanks for your help.

For your limited needs.. I think the step bumber would work just fine. You'll know if it's too much. The bumper will start to bow in the middle. Firewood would be the issue ..a half cord (a normal full size pickup bed full +/-) can be pretty heavy.

You can get a receiver that bolts to the step bumper and accepts the slide-in hitch. Wally's and U-Haul both carry them. I would assume that if you have an Agri-Supply or Tractor Supply they would carry them too. Should be no more than 20 bucks.
