All 27 James Bond movies are on Amazon Prime. I started with Dr No and am watching them in order. Tonight "The World is Not Enough".

Sean Connery is my favorite actor. David Craig the 2nd favorite.

Trivia - what James Bond movie(s) did Shirley Bassey sing the opening song? She is the one everyone else gets judged against.

I did not Google it. But I believe it's "Goldfinger".

I saw my first Bond film with my father when I was 12 in 1965. When I saw those silhouetted swimming women I was hooked.

Does the Amazon collection include the 1967 Casino Royale with David Niven playing Bond ?

Then they may as well include the TV production of Casino Royale with Barry Nelson from 1954.

So, any takers on the origin and meaning of The World is Not Enough?

Were there any commercials?
 
For the bookworms amongst us, the Ian Fleming novels are a fun read. I did like Diamonds are Forever, but that wasn't the only good one.

The novels have a Bond that is a bit less bombastic than those of the movies. And the CIA guy in the novels is missing a hand & walks with a limp, because he's taken hits along the way. Not the back-slapping guy in the movies who has got plenty of firepower to blow away all opposition.
