I started a computer company at 13 and sold computers to all my teachers in school and then continued it throughout college. I sold the business for $60,000 and moved on to better things.

Pretty good for starting it in my basement with Christmas money for a business registration.

The banks used to look at me funny when I would stand in line at the "Business" wickets and I used to always get "This is for businesses only" and I would reply with "I know" and get a weird look.

Reminds me of that Snoop Dogg skit at the start of the song, "G'z and Hustlaz" where Snoop is in elementary school talking to his substitute teacher:

"You, back there in those french
braids, what's yo' name?"

"My name is Snoop."

"Alright Snoop, what you wanna be when you grow up?"

"I wanna be a [censored] hustla, ya betta ask somebody."

Now THIS is the American entreprenurial spirit!

First grade, and has an 'investors' page - good job!

:D

the parents are just using him for marketing. it's hardly 'his' business; parents paying for it, friends proving the location, getting the customers, another making the webpage, etc.

I don't think the parents are exactly raking in the dough off of a lemonade stand. Somebody just thought it would be cool to put up a big, professional web page for their kid. The kid seems to take it pretty seriously, though, so that's good. And it's kind of expected that the parents would help. Let's not forget this business is built around a 6 year old.

Well hopefully this kid doesn't go down the same path and become a complete tool.
