The cardiologist says that sometime in the recent past I've had a silent heart attack. Don't know when it happened or how bad it is. I've never had any recognizable symptoms. Go back for 3 to 6 hours of tests on Thurs.

Dang! You never can take life for granted...

I wish you the best of luck! As always in case of such important matters, I suggest you get at least a second opinion.

Good luck to you.

Did he do an EKG and see something? What kind of tests are they running you through. I am going to assume that you will do a stress echo. I've been through a couple of EKGs, a Halter monitor, and a stress echo. The stress echo is kind of neat. Make sure you tell the tech that you are interested in the technology and make sure they show you all the stuff. It was neat to see the before/after (rest/treadmill) comparison. The only thing that was a pain was the tech makes you exhale and hold it while he gets the image. After you are hitting the treadmill really hard, it's kind of difficult to do.

Don't worry about it yet. Do the tests, but don't panic.

That was the second opinion. I was scheduled for minor nasal surgery on the 24th. Went in last week for the pre-surgery interview and health screen with the anesthesiologist, which included an EKG. The technician took one look and called a specialist. They pulled up an EKG from 4 years ago to compare with. The upshot is, no surgery until a full workup is done. The crazy thing is, I'm feeling better then I have in a couple of years.

My plan to live to be 100 is gonna take a little more effort I guess.

Take care of yourself, and best of luck with everything - its great having you on here...loved a lot of your posts!

The artery sludge problem is still somewhat of a mystery. I remember hearing that viet nam war victims were found to have buildup starting already, even at the age of 18.

I apologize.

No need to apologize. All advice is welcome. Some may actually be followed.

What I need is a new body, this one is all dented and frayed. The top is mostly gone, the engine is not running right and the transmission makes popping and groaning noises and sometimes won't go in gear.

Ok, this is a little known secret, you can actually dissolve build up in your arteries but the western system of medicine doesn't want you to know. In alopathic medicine they say that once you get buildup in your arteries nothing will decrease it or dissolve it, but, it's not true. All you need is a common household spice. Get some organic cinnamon powder, put one big glass of water in a pan add a couple of pinches of the cinnamon power to the water, start boiling, until half of the water boils away. Then strain the water of the cinnamon and drink it. Do this every morning, first thing in the morning and you shouldn't have anything to eat or drink before and at least 45 minutes after doing this procedure. Do this for at least 25 days straight, take a brake for a month or longer and repeat. Also eating raw garlic with your food is a good idea, if you are drinking ro water please stop immediately as it is very bad for health, only drink spring water or tap water. This is like auto-rx for your arteries.

Interesting... I know about cinnamon in the control of cholesterol. I eat cinnamon flavored hi fiber cereal for breakfast at regular intervals. Can't hurt to give it a try. I have city water, well water and distilled water. I usually drink the city water, but use the distilled water for cooking & baking. What is "ro water"?
