Yeah, every single day for about as month I have ben getting on BITOG and reading all I can. My wife saw me and said "What are doing, reading about OIL again, you used to read history and novels." Even learned a new work-Tribology --COOL. even cooler we have some on here that post! I've always been an OIL GEEK? love reading about it and changing it, monitering it, stocking up on it etc etc. One thing I think I have gleaned from this site, is that DELO 400 is a great oil. I have about 15 gallons of CI 15-40 of it. Have been using Amsoil 15-40 AME and am satisfied. Put on a Frantz about a month ago. I'm thinking I may top off my truck with the Delo when I am changing my Frantz roll. I will do UOA and when it needs changing, Prolly stick with my Ams. AME. HDD and Marine. I am not so much interested in going 30 or so K OCI as putting best oil in. WHAT ABOUT TOPPING MY FRANTZ FILTER CHANGE OFF WITH THE DELO?????????, think I will do it about every 2 k or so since I probably should have 2 FR. units on. Thanks guys, nice to find kindred spirits. LOTS of knowledgeable Folks on here and yes I am going to donate, would hate to lose such a great site. Oh, my truck is 06 Cummins with a Dodge wrapped around it,(Modded a lot) so no EGR nor DPF,so would like to stay with CI as long as I can Thanks Guys

It did not come on the 06, only a CAT Conv. -- However, the cam timing is such that it has a "built in EGR" for lack of a better term. The 071/2's and up have the "dedicated" EGR AND DPF. Its why I bought mine when I did. I don't mind cleaner, just don't want to be one of the first they experiment on. Of course if I ever need a new truck, I'll have the cleaner engine, but hopefully by then they will be many many improvements on the Emissions equipment.

I eliminated the EGR Valve on my small block chevy, I also put a non emmisions intake manifold on and the car runs so much better.

My old intake manifold where the EGR bolted up was totally crusted with junk. I do not need that stuff circulating in the engine.
