I'm not much into turkey, but I can stomach turkey loaf. Wal-Mart and others use to sell it, but I no longer see it anywhere. I don't see alternative brands either.

Butterball, Hormel, and the aformentioned Jennie-O still processes this stuff. It is not bad tasting I could have it without so much salt though.

Another product I assume is similar is the Adkins turkey tenders. I bet that would help your cravings.

That stuff got cheapened a few years back. There is always a large hole/void in the center.Getting less for your money is totally a 21st century trend.

That's because that processed, frozen garbage bears very little resemblance to real turkey.

what's the point if you can only stomach it? Have a steak for thanksgiving while everybody else is having turkey. It isn't a requirement to eat turkey.

I on the other hand grew up next to an Ocean Spray cranberry bog and about a 15 minute drive from Plymouth MA so I guess it was instilled in me that Thanksgiving is the most amazing thing ever

I know many of you may say "yuck," but try turkey Spam. It still has lots of sodium, but a lot less fat than the pork variety. It's also pretty good - if you're a connoisseur of fine processed meat products like I am. 8-D

It is really funny that you bring this up as I literally JUST contacted the mfg( Jennie-O )asking about it 2 days ago. It is no longer available here in my local markets either, after being sold for as long as I can recall, so I wrote to them to ask. I actually like it as well and it is kind of a memory from my childhood.

Unfortunately, it is no longer being made. If you manage to find any local it is just leftovers( no pun intended ).

When I do a search for turkey loaf, a bunch of cat foot products come up. So, I guess try Petco?

My mom's neighbor brought over a Turkey Meatloaf that was very good. I liked it better than a regular one. Still has that nice ketchup topping on it. It was full of flavor. Here's a few different recipes .

The Turkey hamburgers from Butterball are good as well. They are already seasoned.

^That actually sounds better to me than actual turkey. I could grind my own combination of turkey breast and turkey thigh. What a good idea!
