I never even considered BJ's for a place to buy motor oil. I was in there today to buy some meat and light bulbs and saw a section of motor oil in the car section.
They had Mobil 1, Shell Synthetic, Shell Conventional, Shell Rotella and Shell ATF.
I wrote down the prices for the Shell Conventional and Shell Rotella.
$22.99 for a case of (12) qts Formula Shell 5w30/10w30 ($1.91/qt)
$28.99 for a case of (3) 1 gallon jugs of Shell Rotella 15w40 ($2.41/qt)
I have an old oil burning Jetta at home that would probably love the Rotella 15w40 and the Formula Shell 5w30 for my Saturn.
$1.91 a quart for a case sounds good to me. I'm not quite so sure because I usually don't see Formula Shell at the places I shop. Thanks.
BTW, this BJ's is 5 minutes from me, which is a quicker stop than Walmart which is 15 minutes away and I already have a BJ's membership card.
For the record, my usual oil - Pennzoil conventional is $10.97 in Walmart for a 5qt jug. ($2.19/qt)
