Is Motorcraft a good oil filter?

TLDR: metal end caps came unglued and some rubber was flaking off. No info given about age of filter, motor oil used, vehicle, etc.

I don't think this video tells me anything useful about Motorcraft oil filters.

As shown in the c&p’s here, these haven’t been good in a while. M+H made junk.

I bet those end caps would never fall off if the spring loaded canister wasn't compromised. When I cut filters open I alway pry the metal end caps off of the filter and rarely is it a difficult task with any of them.

Maybe Fram is onto something with those fiber end caps. They never fall off and they're quite a bear to remove when trying to get the filter media apart for inspection.

This is why glue shedding off and going into the oiling system can be bad. Did you notice the Motorcraft filter has torn media at 54 seconds ... you can see the center tube through the tear at the bottom of the pleat.
