Is Mobil 1 Syn ATF really Synthetic?

I was reading the PDS for Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF (which I use regularily) and noticed that Mobil says it is made from hydrocracked base stocks. Does this mean Group III base stocks and not the PAO Group IV base stocks used for its synthetic engine oils?

You're right...sorry. It says hydrocarbon base oils. What does this mean?

Actually, what it says is "synthesized hydrocarbon base oils." PAO and esters are synthesized hydrocarbons.

Its all synthetic exclusive of the carrier oil.
