I was reading on a post, about chrysler MS 6395, and valvoline. IS thier maxlife, and maxlife synthetic ms 6395 certified?
I have a 95 neon, and am VERY curious, about what chrysler specs for oils!
SO far, i saw Havoline, mobil, and pennzoil platinum, and valvoline conventional are.... what other oils are? Citgo? Peak? supertech? quaker state, and quaker state synth? Exxon?

LOL i know yeah. I took interest, because of chryslers specs.. SO! Wanted to see what the professionals here, had to add or say, about my topic.

I don't see any mention of MS-6395 on their web site. I know MaxLife doesn't meet the minimum spec for most GM vehilces (GM6094M).

What's so special about that certification? They're probably unnecessary for a lot of cars anyways (although I know the VW 1.8T should use certified oils to prevent sludging, etc.) Neon's are easy on oil, I'd just use whatever SM oil you can find on sale.

Yeah, so im still hearing to this day, neons are easy on oil. Not mine, becuase i do about 800 miles in 3 months, mostly all stop n go traffic, in frigid cold, to unbearable summer humidity. Oil is always thick black coming out.
Because an oil dosnt meet a motor comapny's specs, that dosnt mean its bad oil? I mean, oil is oil for the most part, right? Why would auto company's have specs?
