Is is best to stick with an oil?

My 04 Accord has seen the following brands: Petro-Can (aka "Honda oil"), YB, Castrol Syntec and M1. Whwn I used dino exclusively, I often switched back and forth between brands, but for about half the time, it had YB in it. Now I have been using synthetic and is currently running on M1. I plan on moving over to PP next oil change.

90,000 miles now and it is still running like it was running on day 1.

In other words, I see no real harm in switching brands.

I know that's not much fun--but is there any truth to this?

The owner's manual on my '69 VW van says, this, by the way.

I always believed sticking to one oil was best, and with 2 of my vehicles I do that. After saying that I've been switching brands in my beater, using what ever I can get on sale. Truth is, it really doesn't matter at all, I proved it to myself by doing it. In my fleet favorites I'll probably stick to one oil though, only because I want to.

I recently changed over from Mobil 1 10W30 to PP 5W30 in an 88 E-150 which only saw Mobil 1 since around 1989, so far so good! It will now only get PP. JMO

I'll prolly continue to use the same oil in the truck and my wife's car, with a possibility of a long term switching if/when I decide something else is really better.
For the old van, I'll likely continue to experiment.

Ya. I like sales as much as the next guy, but I just usually buy what I'm used to. It works.
