I know of a truck place that stocks the baldwin filter I need. A different truck place and get the Fleetguard in 2 days. Is the Fleetguard filter (not the new media) really all that much better and worthwhile to get over the baldwin? I really like the baldwin, and i'm actually showing a better oil pressure reading with the baldwin than I was with the K&N oil filter (HP-2004 because of space). Strange eh?

I too recognized a drop in oil pressure on a '97 Blazer w/ 4.3L when I put on a Baldwin.

I really like them. The construction is very robust and they are a good compromise between flow and filtration.

I don't have any experience with the Fleetwood.

The sensor is on the back of the engine right behind the intake manifold, so i'm guessing it's after the filter. This is on a Jeep Grand Cherokee V8; Dodge Magnum V8, 5.2L.

Wait a few weeks and I will be testing the PF1218 equivalent of the Fleetguard oil filter to add to the PF1218 study. Since the Baldwin is already examined, you will have a good comparison.

Until then, flip a coin.
