Is email dying?

I've had good luck with my yahoo account, and I don't even have its spam filter turned on, at most 10/week show up. I've had that account since yahoo offered free email and use it for various mail lists.

But I do think that some spam filtering is too aggressive, as with some other posters, emails are not getting where they need to be. I'm trying to pinpoint where email is disappearing with a not-so-computer savy relative overseas. Sometimes the email makes it, sometimes not.

Alex.

I have noticed that a subject can influence what happens with email.

I now use just the Day of the week or a subject that has worked before.

As previously mentioned, I use the simple filters in Thunderbird and not the ones provided by any ISP for receiving email.

Once in a while it drops to 10-20 a day. Probably a botnet getting busted. But within a week it's back to normal.

could you tell me where you get it from?

I want to spam my co-worker's inbox for revenge.

Not sure where they got my address. But some years ago I did post a bit on Usenet, and that's become a cornucopia of spam.
