Is color an indicator of ATF condition?

If that was the case, would the water settle to the bottom after a while in the empty 2 liter bottles I keep the old fluid in? Unfortunately a UOA isn't in the budget right now...

Yep, water is very obvious. Pepto looking pink means much water.

I only mentioned cooling/baking the fluid how many times??? working the vehicle????

Being a little hard, squealing tires, regular WOT runs.... is working the fluid ant tranny hard. Upgrade the cooler, upgrade to a full synthetic, and drive more sanely. The roast and bake habit will eventually cost you a big bill. With 200k at this point, maybe you should just enjoy wasting it.

In your situation, the ATF color is an indication and a side effect of your abuse. You also have different lighting in your pictures. The new atf is better lit then the baked atf. Room lighting or camera flash issue?
