I like 10W-40. I use it in my lawn equipment.
 
Modern 10W-40's are not bad oils at all. 10W-40 just havs a bad rap from the formulations in the 1970's.

I personally think synthetic 10W-40 makes a lot of sense, and wish it were more availible up here. The nice, thin 10W-40 Syntec Castrol makes looks like a GREAT oil.
