Just curious. (honest)
Why "not for you" ?
I just bought an iPhone plus direct from Apple, however before that I was SERIOUSLY thinking of switching to Boost. Two lines, $50 (forever which we know isnt forever)
Also if I bought the iPhones through Boost they were giving a free year of service. For my wife and I was a win - win even though we currently only pay $33 for two lines that includes 12GB of data which we rarely ever exceed. Maybe 2 or 3 times a year, bill still comes in at less than $50 actual payment two lines.
So anyway, with Boost giving a free year of service that equates to a $300 discount, each, for the iPhones plus we have our current ones to sell. I cant remember if they offered the 15plus though.
So why didnt we do it? Just one reason really. The $25 each line Boost plan does not offer tethering which is a deal killer for us. You have to step up a level for tethering. US Mobile includes tethering in our $16.50 x 2 plan = actual payment $33.
We tether when traveling a lot rather than connect to a public network. An example would be back in Jan 2025 I had a medical procedure, my wife tethered to her iPad to watch a movie while she waited for me in the waiting room, rather than try to connect to the medical facility public network. We tend to mostly tether (but not all the time) at hotels too.
